Rolitos (Stuffed Veal Rolls)
Ingredients
- 8 slices thin veal
- 4 slices ham, halved
- 2 hard-boiled eggs, quartered
- 8 stuffed olives (with peppers), halved
- Salt and pepper
- 1 garlic clove, crushed
- 1 onion, chopped
- 240 ml (1 cup) beef stock
- 2 tsp gravy powder (Bisto) or cornstarch to thicken
Instructions
- Lay veal slice; place ham half, egg quarter, and two olive halves; roll and secure with toothpicks. Repeat.
- Sauté garlic and onion until soft; add stock and thickener; bring to simmer.
- Add veal rolls; simmer gently until cooked through and flavours meld (~25–30 minutes). Adjust seasoning.
- Serve with mashed potatoes and sauce.
