Saddle Soap (Leather Care)¶

Ingredients¶

• 1.5 L water
• 24 tbsp soap flakes
• 225 ml melted beeswax
• 115 ml neat’s-foot oil

Instructions¶

1. Bring water to simmer; gradually stir in soap flakes.
2. Melt beeswax with neat’s-foot oil in double boiler; add to soap solution; stir until thick.
3. Decant into tins. To use, apply with wet sponge, then buff dry. Caution: neat’s-foot oil is flammable and may darken leather.
