Build the binary

anarchie is a single Rust crate. With a recent stable toolchain (1.80+):

The binary lands at target/release/anarchie. For the rest of this walkthrough we assume it is on your PATH:

The only runtime dependency is the system git binary - anarchie shells out to it rather than bundling a git library, so the store is an ordinary git repository you can inspect with the git you already have.

Scaffold a repository

anarchie init creates a new deployment: the directory tree that holds every EHR, template, and derived index.

The path is echoed back verbatim - the default is ., the directory you just cd'd into.

The --system-id is the identity of this creating system. It is stamped into every version_uid so that versions created here are globally distinguishable from versions created by any other openEHR system.

A default init also seeds eight IPS-aligned starter Operational Templates, spanning the International Patient Summary content sections - vital signs, problems, allergies, medications, laboratory results, immunisations, procedures, and an encounter note - so the CDR can store clinical data immediately without first authoring a template. Pass --minimal for an empty CDR with no templates registered; it prints starter templates: none (--minimal) instead.

Look at what was created:

That index/ is .gitignored on purpose: it is a derived view, regenerable from the canonical files, so it never belongs in version control.
